| Description : |
The course introduces dynamic arrays. Excel dynamic arrays are one of the most significant improvements introduced in modern versions of Microsoft Excel. They fundamentally change how formulas work by allowing a single formula to return multiple values that automatically “spill” into adjacent cells. This replaces many older techniques involving array formulas, helper columns, and manual copying. No more typing and then pressing CSE. Now, when you write a formula in a cell and press Enter, the resulting value appears in that cell as well as neighboring cells. This filling in of neighboring cells is called spilling and the resulting answers are considered an array. Dynamic arrays are volatile as they update automatically when the source data is changed. Dynamic functions covered in this course include: SORT(), SORTBY(), FILTER(), UNIQUE() and STOCKHISTORY(). |
