CPE Thinks' Brief List of RTRP Courses
A Registered Tax Return Preparer (RTRP) is a specialized CPA, and will require
specialized CPE courses. In those states that require continuing professional
education, you will likely be required by your State Board of Accountancy or
job to take CPE that falls into your specific category of accountancy. At CPE
Think, we understand your specialized needs and have created many easy ways to
search for specific RTRP courses, including a brief listing of all our RTRP courses.
We make it easy to see our courses. The brief list shows everyone on one web page,
which is easy to see all of the information. However, we also have a
RTRP course list available. Our default listing is in descending credit order though you
can choose to switch it to ascending hours if you prefer. Examples include:
- Healthcare: The Affordable Care Act, eight credits
- Retirement Plans, five credits
- 2013 Federal Income Tax Change, four credits
The list will always start out with the course title and then provide the credits
earned, both IRS and CPE. The next column is the price, followed by a helpful "buy now"
button so you can immediately purchase the course you prefer. The next four columns
tell you if the course is approved for RTRP, EA, Registry and QAS. Not every course
will be approved for all specialties. The very last column shows if this is a new
course or not. We do this because many CPAs or RTRPs prefer to take all new courses
each time they must recertify their continuing professional education.
