Description :

This course is approved by the California Board of Accountancy and satisfies the two-hour regulatory review requirement that began January 1, 2011 for license renewal once every six years. This ethics requirement is in addition to four hours of general ethics education due each license renewal period.

A passing grade of 90% is required by the California Board of Accountancy.

Included is a review of specific articles of the Legislatures Accountancy Act and The Boards Accountancy Regulations as they pertain to the practice of public accountancy in California. A link is provided in the Resources section to the most recent Accountancy Act and Accountancy Regulations.

The course contains a brief overview of the history of certified public accountants in the United States. Disciplinary actions by the California Board of Accountancy will be reviewed highlighting the misconduct sited.
