This 2.0 hour CPE Self-Study course will give you the tools to understand how to implement the Tangible Property Regulations (TPRs) to assure Compliance with the new tax codes and discuss the risks of non-compliance. The steps will include how to define the unit of property when applying the improvement standards and applying the improvement standards to determine capitalization vs expense decisions. We will outline the safe harbors allowed for annual elections and describe how to capture the accelerated depreciation from Cost Segregation, Section 179 and bonus depreciation. We will display how to make Repair Regulations calculations with examples of case study examples and provide examples and language for completing the 3115 change of accounting form.
